It’s easy to reduce the topic of worship to the first 15 minutes of a church service, a physical posture or even a genre of music.

In Romans 12, Paul explains our spiritual service of worship as our presenting our bodies as a “living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God.” Like most ideas in Christianity, we assume this is the initiation sequence for something, as if it starts with us. In fact, this is a response to what Paul said as he closed Romans 11, that everything is from Him, through Him and to Him, and to Him be the glory.

Worship is our response to this reality, that it’s all Jesus. When we realize how amazing God is, and how much that amazing God loves us, the more we worship.
